Currently the Managing Principal at DANLEX Solutions LLC, Rick has long been the first resource that C-suite management turns to for creative, actionable solutions to their most challenging business issues.


Most recently, as the Chief Operating Officer of UHY Advisors, Inc., one of the largest Accounting, Tax and Consulting firms in the USA, Rick directed a broad range of firm-wide programs and initiatives throughout the firm’s multi state footprint and was responsible for the development and execution of the firm's overall strategic goals, objectives and business plans.


Rick has more than 45 years of experience with professional services firms where he has developed and managed practices, as well as served clients ranging from entrepreneurial enterprises to global corporations, at all stages of their corporate development in a wide range of industries. He also served on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of UHY International, one of the largest global network of independent accounting and consulting firms.


Prior experience included serving as CFO at the Butzel Long law firm as well as a 30 year career as a partner with KPMG.


He brings a long record of service to the public and his profession including his service with the Michigan State Board of Accountancy, American Institute of CPA’s National Council, Professional Ethics Executive Committee, and Michigan Accountancy Foundation as well as serving his community in a number of capacities at local non profit enterprises.


He is a proud graduate of The University of Michigan, a licensed CPA, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). 


Rick is a highly regarded instructor in the graduate accounting program at Walsh College, and among his many recognitions is being given the “American Arab Professional of the Year Award, 2013, by the American Arab Professional Network, a committee of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce; recognized in Crain’s Detroit Business as “Who’s Who in Detroit Business” and named as a “90 for the 90’s” and “40 under 40” honoree by that same business publication.
